A WOMAN was punched in the face when she resisted an attempt to snatch her handbag in Bewbush.
At about 9.50pm on Saturday, a 43-year-old woman was walking along a footpath, known locally as Dousters Brook, near Vanbrugh Close, Bewbush, when she was approached from behind by a man who attempted to take her handbag.
He punched her in the face when she resisted and she fell to the floor but he failed to take the bag and ran off.
