A MAN from Bewbush is alleged to have used violence to gain access to a property in Broadfield, and to have assaulted a woman.Luke Ross, from Byrd Road, denied both charges at Crawley Magistrates' Court on April 15.The alleged offences – using violence to gain entry to a property in Herschel Walk and common assault – are said to have occurred on March 13.The 23-year-old was released on conditional bail and will face a trial at Horsham Magistrates' Court on June 29.

High winds damage Bewbush bus stop
HIGH WINDS caused the panels of a Bewbush bus stop to come loose yesterday (Wednesday).
Firefighters from Crawley Fire Station were sent to the bus stop at Dorsten Square in one appliance at around 5pm.
They made the scene safe by removing the panels.
Firefighters left Dorsten Square at 5.18pm.
